I haven’t been writing posts for awhile, I kind of get lost in life and end up having zero desire to do much else than take care of the kiddos. #MomLife, I guess. But I wanted to share with you a homemade makeup brush cleaner that I found.
I never clean my brushes (facepalm). It’s bad and I feel ashamed. I don’t use them all that often, but they still need to be cleaned. Someone people think that they need to be cleaned every day. I’m sorry, but I’m not sure who has THAT time on their hands. But here’s what you need:

I eyeball everything but I filled up a glass with filtered water about 1/4 of the way. I then added a bit of witch hazel and two pumps of the baby shampoo. For good smelling stuff, I added about 5 drops of Sweet Orange essential oil, you can use whatever you like or not use any at all. It’s really up to you. I then just used my brushes to mix them all together!!

It. Was. Gross.
Look at that water?! This, ladies and gentlemen, is why you clean your brushes. Again, mine get used maybe twice a week. It really depends on the appointments I have. So I wash mine every two weeks.
Think about it. If you’re washing your face twice a day but using dirty brushes to put your make up on… how backwards is that??
So, please. Wash your brushes!!!!
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
With Light and Love,
Lissie
